Cooper and Marilynn of Arkansas
Lori and I stay in touch fairly often. She and her husband actually have Cooper, because Lyndsey got herself a great job in Hawaii. So, at first it was Cooper staying with Grandma and Grandpa in Arkansas, for the quarantine period, but now he is there until ?? Meanwhile, Lori could not think of being w/o him, so called to see about another of Penny and Jed's puppies. Penny was expecting at the time. They picked an exact opposite. A little black and white girl, and named her Marilynn. These two have an incredible home with Mark, Lori and son Michael. Lori goes walking with them every morning, and has taught them so many good manners :0)
Sam Spade becomes Otis
Kathy sent pictures of Otis, and I included some of his growing up shots.
You can see the roan progression going on here too.
"Thought I would send you some pictures. He LOVES the snow. Loves it outside. And he is doing sooooo good on his potty training. He sits at the back door and barks. Smart dog!!!! Good breeding!!!! Thanks. He is really growing and most active. The boxer he plays with is my son's boxer. They really do good together. Surprisingly. You would think the boxer would get fed up with puppy but he is so gentle.
We are really enjoying him. He has healed a sad heart after losing Ike. And so different -- his own personality. I'm glad---don't expect him to be like Ike and glad he is his own. I've enjoyed being home with him during these snow/ice days.
I have to keep him on a leash to go outside because he wants to go back in the trees and I'm afraid of falling limbs. He loves it down at the river also.
Hope this finds you all doing well. Did you get all his brothers and sisters adopted out?

(Kathy is a school art teacher - and had snow days off - so glad she was able to share this sweet pictures with us.)
She also put a very nice note on our guest book.
"Thought you might want to see Otis at 4 months. He is really doing great. He is for the most part potty trained. He is such a loving little puppy. Loves to play and is full of life. We are enjoying him so much!!!!!!!!!!
Did you find homes for the rest of his brothers and sisters? I went to your webpage and didn't find his remaining siblings who were left when we took Otis. Hope you found them homes. They are a good breed and you have done a good job. Anyone would be pleased!!!!!!
Hope all is well with you. Spring is around the corner. We are enjoying these few warm days here and there.
