Key Largo is now Jasper
"MaryAnn,
Thank you for the time yesterday, it was fun to hang out with all of the puppies and dogs. He barked in his kennel for about 20 minutes last night and then settled down for a good nights sleep. Had him out today with our shepherd and they are being playful with each other. The cats have disappeared and trying to figure out who the invader is, so that will take a little time. He is relaxing on the couch next to me and JoEllen is taking the afternoon off to come home and spend some time with her puppy." 3/18
"Hi Mary Ann,
Jasper is doing great! He has been so much fun and has blended well with our family. Jasper and our other dog, Maggie are fun to watch as they play and run together. Maggie will hold one end of a rope over Jasper until he grabs and pulls. Maggie has never been a dog that has played much with toys, but seems to enjoy having another dog to play with. It is so cute to watch them! Jasper is also giving the cats a run for their money. He and Sammie have a great time running through the house playfully until Sammie has had enough and takes off. Sophie our other cat is taking a little longer and doesn't have much time for a rambunctious puppy. He has done well with crate training and only cried the first couple of nights. He has done good with potty training and is now going to the door and scratches to go outside.
As I hope you can tell, we are truly enjoying him! I love how he enjoys cuddling with us on the couch and look forward to when he is completely trained to finally be able to dump the kennel and have full reign of the house.
Was checking out your website just the other day, looking at the puppies that were just a few days old when we picked up Jasper. My how they have grown! They are beautiful dogs. Really liked Maverick, but is way too soon to add another one.
Good to hear from you!
In Him,
Bret & JoEllen Lee." (4/10)
"Hi Mary Ann,
Just wanted you to know that Jasper went through his surgery just fine. He doesn't even behave like he has had a surgery.
He weighed in at 23 1/2 pounds. He hasn't gotten any taller, but much longer. Our vet shared that he has no more baby teeth and that his adult teeth are almost all in.
I can't say enough how much we have enjoyed him! He has been so much fun!
We have to keep him calm & quiet for the next three days (poor guy) before we can turn him loose to run and play.
We are just now looking into an obedience class, more socialization than anything. He does sit on command so far.
I hope your day has gone well. And truly will get some pictures taken and send via email.
God Bless, JoEllen" (4/28)
Tessa is happy in VA.
Just thought I'd mail you about how little Tessa is doing; What a precious little girl!! Your pictures of her on the website are darling, but she is so beautiful, live and in person! Yesterday we took her to Colonial Williamsburg to get some fresh air and play on campus (which was fun, no piece of wood or leaf was unharmed) and she got more compliments than I could list - everyone on the way to campus commented on how adorable she is or had to come up to pet her. She seemed to love the attention and gave out lots of free kisses and tail wagging. . . .
Thank you so much for all you did shipping her and making sure she was alright, I was a little worried she would be upset after the plane, but she was only fussy on the car ride back to Williamsburg and settled in to the apartment just fine (and slept most of the afternoon Friday). She's a gorgeous girl and I'm so happy to have her! I will send those pictures soon. Hope you're having a great week and are recovered from all the travelling to airports!

Hi Mary Ann,
Someone cute is curled up on my lap napping as I write this. I have never been a morning person but I find myself looking forward to the crack of dawn walks and big breakfasts! She's such a sweetie. Please feel free to post my letter, and shorten it as needed if you like (I know I wrote a lot!). I figured the chewing is just a stage - she's great about it with me if I do the 'mama grunt' and she's learning what 'Gentle!' means. She really picks up fast! I'd picked up chew bones, soft chew toys, edible bones, kong toys with teething geared stuffing, etc before she got here, just seems that me and my boyfriend are more fun to taste lately :) Kevin has a great time with her when he visits, and she LOVES chasing his feet.
The lady in pink holding her with the toy is my mom; she came to visit yesterday as she just had to see her new grandchild. She has two dogs at home and fell in love with Tessa immediately, but that's not a surprise as everyone around my apartment already has :)
Have a great day, and thank you so much again, Tessa is such a fantastic addition to the family! - Leslie
This is one of Posey and Thaddaeus' babies. :0) - a very happy little girl.
Hi Mary Ann,
I'm so glad you got the pictures, I was a little worried, and you are very welcome! Tessa is such a joy, it's fun to take pictures of her being adorable. Tonight she barked at us for the first time as apparently she does not like going down the 'steps' I made up for her to the couch, haha! Have a wonderful week. Thank you so much for sending our darling little girl, I knew I would love her, but she's even sweeter and cuter than I expected :) - Leslie
